Between 2010 and 2021, Nick has written six short musicals, four of which were featured in the Short+Sweet Musical (Malaysia) festival.
Here's the rundown on the four, as well as info on the fifth mini-musical that premiered in the award-nominated revue 4 in 50: A Mini Musical Marathon at the Perth Fringe World arts festival in 2017, PLUS a new show that premiered online during lockdown in 2021.

A new ten-minute musical written for Revolution Stage (Malaysia)'s fundraising campaign in April 2021. Teja is given one last chance to reflect on her life and the love that she has shared with her loved ones, while an ECG machine count down towards a heart that stops beating.

Four young people are about to attend their commencement ceremony and enter the real world, complete with all their hopes, aspirations, conflicts and fears.
COMMENCEMENT was first exclusively featured in 4 in 50: A Mini Musical Marathon and features in the Malaysian production Lost/Found.

The relationship between a young man and woman is told from a very unique point of view – a GPS device. Told almost entirely through song by Carter, the singing digital navigator, this is a tour-de-force piece for a solo female performer that also includes two non-singing roles.
CARTOGRAPHY has since been performed in several concerts featuring Nick's songs, including 4 in 50: A Mini Musical Marathon.

Jack and Jackie are jack-in-the-boxes who have journeyed together from their maker's workshop to their owner's toy room. Sadly, they have been forgotten in this day and age of digital overconsumption. Today, the two soulmates wait day in and day out for children to play with them – if only so they can be freed from their wooden prisons and see each other once again.
DREAMING OUTSIDE THE BOX is a crowd-pleasing favourite that has been performed in numerous concerts and events, including at the Esplanade Concourse in Singapore, and in 4 in 50: A Mini Musical Marathon.

A mother loses her daughter in a crowded shopping centre. While looking for her, she encounters three other women who are moved into remembering their own experiences of having lost their children, or having been lost themselves.
